For DVD replication, AVC Corp. offers the capabilities to replicate both DVD-5 and DVD-9, the two most popular formats of DVD presentation.
The stamper is the metal master that will be used in the DVD molding machine. A DVD is comprised of two polycarbonate substrates bonded together. To form each substrate, molten polycarbonate is injected into the DVD molds and compressed against the stamper to form the pit impressions (data) which are readable in your DVD player. The two substrates are then bonded together to form a finished DVD.
DVDs must be made flat and stay flat. Disc thickness, now critical, must be more uniform than in CDs. Furthermore, DVDs are also significantly more sensitive to jitter and tilt. In order to accomplish these more exacting quality standards, the Mastering and Electroforming process windows have been tightened to allow for the maximum replication process window. By utilizing the latest advances in bonding technologies, AVC has been able to optimize and integrate these improvements into our replication lines to assure our clients that they will always receive the highest quality products.
